Before any installation takes place, we start by understanding how your range currently works.

This includes looking at your ball collection process, dispenser location, existing infrastructure, available space, ground conditions and the route balls need to take from collection point to dispenser. We’ll assess:

Site Assessment and Planning

We review your driving range layout, daily ball volumes, existing equipment and operational requirements. From this, we identify the most suitable DropPit location and how the system will connect with the rest of your range.

System Design and Specification

Your DropPit system is designed around your site and the level of automation you require. We specify the collection point, washing equipment, underground transport route, dispenser connection and any compatible robotic equipment.

Groundworks and Site Preparation

The agreed installation area is prepared for the DropPit system and underground pipework. We coordinate the required excavation, foundations, drainage and service connections to ensure the site is ready for installation.

Equipment Installation

The DropPit unit, pipework and associated equipment are installed in their planned positions. Every component is fitted carefully to create a reliable and efficient route from the outfield collection point to the ball dispenser.

5. Integration and Testing

The system is connected to your washing equipment, vacuum transport, dispenser and ball-picking robot where applicable. We then test the complete process to ensure balls move smoothly through every stage of the system.

Training, Handover and Support

Once testing is complete, we show your team how to operate and monitor the system. You will also receive ongoing support from DropPit UK and GroundTech to help keep the installation performing reliably.
